Christian Pulisic is set to be one of many departures at Chelsea this summer when the transfer window opens later this month.

The 24-year-old endured a frustrating 2022/23 campaign in the capital, hampered by injuries, and Pulisic could have played his final game for Chelsea.

His mood has dampened as the weeks and months have passed, enhanced after his hopes of a January departure were blocked due to the winger suffering a knee injury against Manchester City at the beginning of the year.

Pulisic is now with the USMNT for their CONCACAF Nations League semi-final against Mexico on June 15. He was quizzed on his future by reporters on Monday but he remained coy on where his future lies.

“It’s obviously been an interesting journey at club level for me,” Pulisic said. “I thought it was a great couple of years, and the last couple years just haven’t gone at all how I’ve planned them to be.

“This summer, we’re obviously going to have to see what happens — it’s obviously very early. As of right now, I’m a Chelsea player and I plan to go back, but a lot of things can happen, a lot of things can change.”

Pulisic’s future is likely to be resolved in the coming weeks, if not months, and come the end of the transfer window in September, if all goes to plan, he won’t be a Chelsea player.

Here is the latest on Christian Pulisic and his future at Chelsea.

Chelsea’s stance on Christian Pulisic and their transfer valuation

Chelsea are ready to let him leave this summer after four years at Stamford Bridge. As part of their attacking overhaul, Pulisic will be allowed to depart.

Pulisic is likely to cost suitors around £20 million, according to reports, as Chelsea look to recoup some of the £58 million they paid Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

What Newcastle United have said about a potential transfer for Christian Pulisic

As reported by The Athletic, despite being interested in January over a possible loan move, Newcastle United have already informed Chelsea that they are not interested in signing Christian Pulisic this summer.

Transfer links to Premier League and Serie A clubs

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Pulisic is ‘among the ideas’ at AC Milan, who have just fired directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara from their positions.

Juventus have been linked with the American, while Manchester United were attributed with loan interest back in January, but it’s unlikely they will reignite their interest this summer as Pulisic looks to re-ignite his career.
