Chelsea are set to hold talks with Inter Milan in the coming days as they look to make a final decision on the futures of four players.

The summer transfer window officially opens on Wednesday 14th June and Chelsea will look to begin to put their off-season planning into fruition.

Inter Milan and Chelsea have already held talks in April but discussions will be picked up following the conclusion of the Champions League final, which saw Inter suffer a narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in Saturday’s final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will schedule talks in the ‘next days’ with Inter. Kalidou Koulibaly is a ‘priority target’ for the Nerazzurri this summer, while Trevoh Chalobah, Romelu Lukaku and Andre Onana will also be on the agenda.

Chelsea are targeting a new goalkeeper and Onana, who is valued at in excess of £50 million, is a ‘primary target’ for the Blues, according to reports, and the Cameroon international is open to a move, but insists his future is down to Inter.

The 27-year-old told reporters: “I’m so, so happy at Inter. At this professional level you never know what happens.

“I’m available for Inter, they decide and I will accept what they want. I’m happy at Inter.”

Lukaku’s future at Stamford Bridge hangs in the balance after a season back on loan at Inter following his then club-record £97.5 million switch to England two years ago. Another year-long loan has been previously discussed, but it remains unclear if another temporary deal will be thrashed out.

Newly-appointed head coach Mauricio Pochettino will have to hold talks with the Belgian over his preferred plans for next season. Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph suggests the forward favours staying in Italy.

Inter Milan president Steven Zhang was quizzed on Saturday about Lukaku. He admitted: “The player showed great attachment to Inter. He’s an amazing guy. The guy has a contract with Chelsea, we have to wait to talk to them to understand.”

Meanwhile, Chalobah and Koulibaly have been admired by the Serie A side prior to this summer. Koulibaly, who only signed from Napoli one year ago, could see his Chelsea spell come to an end early despite penning a four-year contract, with Inter potentially offering the Blues a path to offload him as they look to trim their bloated squad.
